Abstract
The Pandharpur Wari, also known simply as the Wari, is a revered pilgrimage to Pandharpur, Maharashtra, dedicated to honouring the deity Vithoba (Vitthal), a form of Lord Krishna. This centuries-old tradition involves carrying the paduka (footwear) of prominent saints, most notably Sant Dnyaneshwar and Sant Tukaram, in a palkhi (palanquin) from their respective shrines to the Vithoba Temple in Pandharpur. The practice of carrying these sacred paduka symbolizes the deep veneration for these saints and their spiritual legacy.
