Abstract

Lotus silk from Manipur, India, is a very luxurious and rare fabric that generates great international acclaim for the rarity in properties and sustainability in production methods. In this case study, an attempt is made to delve into the history, cultural beliefs, and intricate process of lotus silk manufacturing. It is presented with SWOT analysis covering all strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the fabric. In addition, this case study reviews Lotus Silk’s global reach, its growing presence in international markets, and environmental sustainability. It outlines potential growth opportunities in product diversification, technological advancements, and strategic partnerships. This study makes it possible to understand in detail, through reports and scholarly articles, the effect that lotus silk has had on the textile industry and what its potential will be in the future.
