Abstract

The digital revolution in India is accelerating the country’s economic development and altering several industries.  Digital Bharat is an initiative with the goal of promoting equitable and sustainable development via the use of new technology.  This chapter delves into the ways in which renewable energy solutions, blockchain technology, the internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and 5G all play a role in India’s efforts to become more sustainable.  It goes on to talk about how to promote environmental conservation using technology, the obstacles to doing so, and legislative attempts to close the digital gap.  It also emphasizes the importance of public policy and private sector partnerships in promoting technological progress.
