Abstract
Smallholder and cooperative-based dairies face logistical inefficiencies, inconsistent demand forecasting, and traceability gaps that increase waste and reduce farmer income. This paper proposes a complete, deployable Android application and cloud backend designed to streamline dairy procurement, inventory, chilling, quality checks, and last-mile distribution while providing real-time analytics for cooperatives and processors. The system integrates lightweight mobile UIs for farmers, collection-centre operators, drivers, and customers; on-device data capture (milk quantity, fat-content inputs), IoT sensor integration for chilling units, and optional blockchain-based traceability. We describe the architecture, core modules, data flows, security and privacy considerations, and an evaluation plan including KPIs and a pilot study design. We situate our design within recent literature on digitalization of dairy supply chains, mobile adoption by farmers, and blockchain/IoT for traceability. Preliminary pilot recommendations and potential socioeconomic impacts are discussed.
Keywords: dairy supply chain, Android app, milk delivery, farm-to-fork traceability, mobile agriculture, IoT, blockchain, distribution optimization.
