Abstract

The growing global emphasis on sustainability has led to the development of innovative financial instruments such as Green Bonds, designed to fund environmentally responsible initiatives. Although these instruments have gained substantial momentum worldwide, their adoption among Indian investors—particularly in the National Capital Region (NCR)—is still in the developmental phase. This study investigates investor perception and behavior toward Green Bonds in comparison with conventional bonds, focusing on key dimensions such as awareness, risk-return evaluation, environmental concern, and trust. Understanding these factors is essential for fostering sustainable finance and aligning India’s investment ecosystem with its broader green growth objectives.
