Abstract

Artificial intelligence is now deeply connected with social media platforms. It decides what users see, what content becomes popular, and how people interact online. This chapter examines how AI may reshape human behavior in social media platforms in the coming years. It focuses on important issues such as attention, identity, emotional response, trust, and decision-making in digital spaces. The article argues that AI is not only a technical tool but also a force that influences how people think, feel, and behave online. At the same time, AI can create risks such as misinformation, harmful content exposure, reduced control, and emotional dependence. This chapter concludes that the future of social media will depend on whether AI is designed to support human well-being and user agency rather than only engagement and profit.
