Abstract:

The modern concept of emotional intelligence and the age-old contemplative practice of mindfulness may be better understood by integrating them; the two can improve one’s health, interpersonal connections, and self-awareness in complimentary ways. Before delving into the components and consequences of emotional intelligence and mindfulness, the research will provide a description and contextualization of both concepts. We review the research that has linked mindfulness training to improved emotional intelligence in this chapter. Skills like self-restraint, empathy, and effective communication are included in this group. The article explores the potential applications of mindfulness activities in enhancing emotional intelligence. In addition to discussing the benefits of mindfulness for emotional regulation and social awareness, the essay explores how readers might incorporate the practice into their daily lives. Empirical data and case studies in many settings, such as businesses, classrooms, and personal relationships, demonstrate the real-world effects of integrating mental agility with emotional intelligence.
