Abstract:
Decisions as diverse as medical diagnoses and loan approvals are being influenced by AI systems, which are becoming more and more integrated into our everyday lives. But many AI models aren’t transparent, so people wonder whether they’re biased, untrustworthy, or both. In response to these worries, the goal of explainable AI (XAI) is to provide light on the decision-making process of AI systems so that users may comprehend, trust, and enhance these systems. By outlining its essential ideas, methods, and uses, this chapter clarifies XAI.
