Abstract

The electric vehicle (EV), autonomous driving (AV) technology, and ground-breaking commercial tactics of Tesla, Inc. have revolutionized the car industry. Since its founding in 2003, Tesla has changed the way people think about electric transportation by showing that EVs are more efficient, have longer ranges, and perform better than ICE cars. The company’s vast Supercharger network, direct-to-consumer sales approach, and over-the-air (OTA) software upgrades have all contributed to its competitive edge. Annual increases in EV sales and Tesla’s market valuation exceeding that of conventional manufacturers, according to statistical sources, indicating the company’s expanding market dominance. Success stories from Tesla, like the Gigafactory expansion and the Model S revolution, show how the company has changed the game when it comes to innovation and sustainability. However, there are obstacles that Tesla must overcome, including as limitations in its supply chain, more regulatory scrutiny, and rivalry from both well-established manufacturers and newer entrepreneurs. Analyzing Tesla’s tactics, market effect, and forthcoming problems, this chapter delves into the company’s revolution of the car business. Readers will have an appreciation for the power of technical innovation and long-term strategy by following Tesla’s story.
