Abstract
The post-pandemic travel economy has undergone significant structural and behavioral transformations, reshaping tourists’ expectations, perceptions, and satisfaction drivers. This study investigates the key determinants of tourist satisfaction in the post-COVID-19 era through a cross-national analytical approach, capturing variations across different cultural, economic, and regulatory contexts. Drawing on primary survey data collected from international tourists across multiple countries, the research examines the influence of health and safety measures, service quality, digitalization of tourism services, destination image, price fairness, and sustainability practices on overall tourist satisfaction. The findings reveal that health security and hygiene standards remain foundational factors, while technology-enabled services and personalized experiences have emerged as critical satisfaction drivers in the post-pandemic context. Furthermore, the study highlights notable cross-national differences, indicating that economic development levels and cultural orientations moderate tourists’ satisfaction perceptions. The research contributes to tourism management literature by providing a contemporary, comparative understanding of tourist satisfaction in a recovery-oriented travel economy. Practical implications are offered for policymakers and tourism stakeholders to design resilient, tourist-centric strategies that enhance satisfaction and competitiveness in the evolving global tourism landscape.
