Abstract
Digital Humanities has emerged as a transformative field that integrates computational technologies with traditional humanities research, reshaping the methodologies and scholarly practices of English Studies. The convergence of digital tools, data-driven analysis, and literary scholarship has expanded the scope of research beyond conventional close reading to include distant reading, text mining, corpus linguistics, digital archives, network analysis, and visualization techniques. This interdisciplinary approach enables scholars to examine large-scale literary and cultural datasets, uncover hidden patterns, and generate new interpretations while preserving the critical and interpretive foundations of literary studies. Furthermore, Digital Humanities has enhanced collaborative research, open-access publishing, digital preservation, and public engagement, making literary resources more accessible to global audiences. The integration of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital platforms continues to influence teaching, learning, and research practices in English Studies, fostering innovation in curriculum design and scholarly communication. Despite challenges such as technological accessibility, ethical concerns, digital literacy, and data sustainability, the field offers significant opportunities for expanding research methodologies and interdisciplinary collaboration. This study examines the methodological transformations introduced by Digital Humanities in English Studies and explores their impact on contemporary scholarly practices, highlighting both the benefits and challenges associated with the digital turn in literary and linguistic research.
