Abstract
Digital transformation is fundamentally an organizational and leadership challenge rather than a purely technological migration. This chapter investigates the structural relationship between strategic digital leadership behaviors and successful enterprise-scale transformation initiatives. Synthesizing dynamic capabilities theory, ambidextrous leadership models, and socio-technical systems theory, this study examines how executive digital mindsets, agile resource orchestration, and psychologically safe organizational climates drive digital maturity. Drawing on an empirical, multi-wave structural equation modeling study of 640 medium-to-large enterprises across the financial, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology sectors, the research quantifies the operational pathways connecting digital leadership competencies to tangible business transformations. The empirical findings reveal that visionary guidance, distributed governance architectures, and high digital dexterity accelerate strategic pivots, shorten innovation-to-market cycles by 48.6%, and increase business model agility by 37.4%. Finally, the chapter presents a step-by-step institutional transformation framework designed to guide modern enterprise leaders through sustainable digital transitions.
