Abstract:
Social media use has increased drastically in recent years as due to of the accessibility of easily mobile data and Wi-Fi. In 2023, there will be 4.7 billion social media users all over the world, roughly 60% of the world’s population. Global boundaries have become smaller because of the internet and social media. Regardless of location, anyone can interact and communicate with anyone very conveniently. However, the Cyber Cell Office has received reports of millions of offenses during the past few years. In the context of big data, social media is confronting serious issues such security, privacy, bullying, and data manipulation. As it turns out, instead of the having a boon, social media has turning into a curse for many and harming people. The paper will focus on how social media has been struck individual privacy and personal secrets and recommend solutions to the government and individuals to overcome these issues.
