Abstract
The evolution of English language pedagogy has been significantly influenced by advancements in digital technology, reshaping both instructional methodologies and learning experiences. Traditional approaches, such as grammar-translation and direct methods, have gradually integrated digital tools, leading to more interactive, learner-centered, and data-driven teaching practices. The digital age has introduced various innovations, including Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven language learning, computer-assisted language learning (CALL), and online immersive environments, which have enhanced accessibility and engagement. However, challenges such as digital literacy gaps, technological dependence, equity in access, and pedagogical adaptation remain significant. Educators must balance technology integration with effective pedagogical frameworks to ensure holistic language acquisition. This paper explores the historical transition of English language pedagogy, analyzes key challenges, and highlights innovative practices shaping the future of English language education in a rapidly digitizing world.
