Abstract
Emotional intelligence (EI) has emerged as a critical factor in effective human resource management (HRM), influencing key areas such as leadership, employee engagement, conflict resolution, and organizational culture. This paper explores the significance of EI in HRM by analyzing global practices and real-world case studies. Organizations worldwide are increasingly recognizing that high EI in HR professionals leads to improved decision-making, stronger workplace relationships, and enhanced employee well-being. The study examines various dimensions of EI—self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills—and their direct impact on recruitment, performance management, training, and leadership development. Furthermore, it highlights how businesses leverage EI training and assessment tools to foster a more inclusive and productive work environment. The research also delves into challenges associated with integrating EI into HR policies, such as cultural differences and resistance to change. By reviewing best practices from different countries, this paper provides actionable insights into how organizations can effectively integrate emotional intelligence into their HR strategies to boost workforce productivity and job satisfaction.
